Besides the obvious horse related studies, if you are going to run your own business, you need to have a strong business and finance base. Most people who fail in the horse industry do so because of poor financial planning – running your own business means one week you may be rolling in the dough and the next be eating ramen noodles, unless you plan for the ups and down’s of business.
Marketing of some sort would be an excellent idea, Think the big name Natural Horse guys – are they better trainers than your local person? maybe not – they are marketing geniuses!
Web design would also help so you can build and maintain your own site.
